CANCELLATION POLICY
To schedule an appointment please book online or contact 832-267-7546. Skinchology is open Tuesday through Friday 10a-6p (with extended hours on Wednesday and Friday) and Saturday 9:30a-4p. We are closed on Sunday and Monday for waxing and body treatments. For special circumstances or travel emergencies, clients have the option of contacting the studio in advance (info@skinchology.com or 832-267-7546) to submit a request for service. Please note that if the appointment request is approved, additional service fees may be required.
At Skinchology we are committed to providing superior and personalized waxing and skincare services to every client. When you book your appointment, that time is set aside specifically for you. If you need to alter or cancel your appointment, we respectfully request that you cancel at least two hours prior to your appointment so that others may have an opportunity to book in your place. For your convenience, we DO NOT charge for no shows or cancellations, however, we ask that clients are respectful of their appointment times as well as others that desire to book. Clients with two or more no shows are subject to prepayment at the time of booking. There is a ten-minute late policy in which you have a grace period of five minutes. After that window, clients should contact the studio directly and we will work to reschedule you as quickly as possible. Please note that skin therapists may sometimes run behind on services. Thank you for being understanding and patient if this occurs.
LIABILITY RELEASE
Please note that waxing and body treatments can have certain side effects such as skin removal, redness, swelling, tenderness, etc. due to skin sensitivity levels, product use, sun exposure medications, etc. Estheticians have the right to refuse service if they feel uncomfortable performing treatment under such circumstances. I understand that if I have any concerns including recent sun exposure or the use or prior use of Accutane, Retin-A or other topical or oral treatments, I will address these with my skin therapist. I give permission to my therapist to perform, photograph and post any waxing, body procedures or makeup artistry and to contact me via email or personal phone provided during registration regarding treatments, promotions or announcements we have or may not have discussed before, during or after treatment. I will hold any Skinchology staff harmless from any liability that may result from this treatment. I agree that I provided an accurate account of the questions asked by my therapist and/or consent form including all known allergies or prescription drugs or products I am currently ingesting or using topically. I understand my esthetician will take every precaution to minimize or eliminate negative reactions as much as possible. I agree to read the post-treatment home care instructions. I am willing to follow recommendations made by my esthetician for a home care regimen that can minimize or eliminate possible negative reactions. In the event that I may have additional questions or concerns regarding my treatment or suggested home product / post-treatment care, I will consult the esthetician immediately. I agree that this constitutes full disclosure and that it supersedes any previous verbal or written disclosures. I certify that I have read, and fully understand the above paragraphs and that I have had sufficient opportunity for discussion to have any questions answered. I understand the procedure and accept the risks. I do not hold the esthetician, Danita Q. Berry responsible for any of my conditions that were present, but not disclosed at the time of this skin care procedure, which may be affected by the treatment performed today.
PURCHASE POLICY
At Skinchology we strive to provide our clients with the best service possible. No refund is given to Skinchology clients or waxing class session students unless a written agreement has been signed. The refund policy is only guaranteed within 30 days of class session or client’s visit and will only be a maximum of 50% of the purchase. If you would like to share your positive experience or are not satisfied with your service or product purchase, we encourage you to contact us at info@skinchology.com.
PRIVACY POLICY
Please note that the effects of any treatment cannot be guaranteed and results for each individual will vary.
The client must agree to comply with instructions and recommendations given by the esthetician regarding the aftercare of the treated areas and will be given an aftercare form.
Please note that if you provide false information on your consent form or you fail to offer full information that may be of relevance for your treatment, then Skinchology will NOT take any responsibility for any adverse reactions you may experience due to the treatment provided.
Children under the age of 17 will not be serviced unless accompanied by a parent on the first visit. Parents must then sign a release form and must be present at the time of service.
Here at Skinchology we love children, however, at the time of service, we respectfully ask that clients try to refrain from bringing their children with them as space is limited and the liability factor may be compromised. However, in extreme circumstances, please notify Skinchology if children will be present.
